Bernard is the Director of the Association of Leading Visitor Attractions (ALVA), a membership organisation comprising the majority of Britain’s best known museums, galleries, castles, palaces, cathedrals, heritage sites, historic houses, zoos, gardens and leisure attractions, attracting more than 12 million visitors per month.
Bernard is also the Mayor of London's Ambassador for Cultural Tourism, a Trustee of the People's History Museum, Chair of the World WildLife Fund UK’s Council of Ambassadors and Chair of the London Board of Directors of the London International Festival of Theatre.
Bernard has had a long career in tourism, including positions as Head of Government and Public Affairs at VisitBritain and as Chairman of the Tourism Alliance.
Bernard says: “I am delighted and honoured to be asked to be an Ambassador for Tourism for All. I want to play my part in championing tourism's inclusivity and accessibility.”
