As part of the national tourism agency, VisitEngland leads the regenerative growth of England’s visitor economy. We enable a sustainable and resilient visitor economy through a simplified regional structure for English tourism, business support, guidance and training and the championing of domestic tourism.

Our work at the grass roots of English tourism supports SMEs across England on critical subjects, to deliver positive impact and growth, including sustainability, accessibility and quality of their welcome and offer. 

We believe that accessible and inclusive tourism is not only a responsibility but also a huge opportunity for the tourism industry. We are leading the visitor economy to deliver more accessible and inclusive tourism experiences for all, primarily by:

- Upskilling SMEs to deliver accessible experiences.

- Supporting our new portfolio of Local Visitor Economy Partnerships (LVEPs) to develop and promote accessible tourism in their destinations.

- Hosting England’s Inclusive Tourism Action Group (EITAG), which comprises a range of leading accessible tourism stakeholders (including Tourism for All) who undertake co-ordinated activity to improve accessible tourism in England. 

- Running initiatives to improve the holiday planning experience for visitors with a wide range of accessibility requirements with two major initiatives
