Another pastry based treat you should try when in the midlands is the Bakewell tart, Mr Kipling has nothing on the home-made ones! In Staffordshire, try one of their Staffordshire oat cakes, they are savoury pancakes made from oatmeal, flour and yeast. If you spot them on sale, give them a try!
